Do you use cleaning wipes on a regular basis? And do you like your containers to be attractive? Heather from Decor-ganize Crafts can say yes to both, and she did something about it with Mod Podge. How can you imitate Heather's idea? Fabric scraps from your stash and the cleaning wipe cover tutorial. Then you can leave your wipes out all over the place. Hello conversation piece!
One other thing - I am currently featured on Where Women Create's Fabulous Friday. Come see me to win some Mod Podge! I also reveal a few things you might not know about me.

Imaginisce circus-themed stool.
I know I'm not the only one of you who loves moustaches - they always make me smile, whenever I see them. I've been wanting to do a project incorporating one, but I wasn't quite sure what to do until I got some of Imaginisce's Animal Crackers line in the mail. Turns out this circus-themed paper has a little koala ringleader character with a sweet 'stache, and it was a sign. As you can see I decorated my stool with a moustache and pennants, and I have an extra special secret.
I glittered the moustache. But more on that in a minute. Here's how to decorate a circus-themed stool of your very own.

Book binding made simple.
A lot of you make homemade journals, or you like to have somewhere to write down your wonderfully crafty ideas. This book binding technique by Katie of Found It Made It is incredibly simple, and I'm actually fascinated myself that she used Mod Podge to bind a book. Even I forget everything it can do. Check out the entire tutorial here.

How to make a doily pinata.
Cinco de Mayo is coming up, and I'm assuming that you are going to hit a pinata. No? Well, you need to consider taking your craftfail frustrations out on something fun, like this doily pinata. I don't know about you, but sometimes I just like to hit things. And a pinata is better than the car who parked too close to me at the grocery. Anyhoo, this is an easy (and quick) idea if you are going to have any party, not just one on the 5th. Find the tutorial here.

Light up felt houses.
Every now and again I'm going to share a project with you that uses one of Mod Podge's closely related cousins - Stiffy. Stiffy is made by Plaid, the same company that makes Mod Podge. Do you remember the fox lamp from Katie at Matsutake? Stiffy is obviously great for making things that should be lit up, and that includes these little felt houses from Claire at Poopscape. It's not a matter of IF I need to make these little light up felt houses, it's a matter of WHEN. I have to make them, and then decorate Mod Podge Command Central from head to toe. Do you need some too? Visit Claire's light up felt houses tutorial here.

The Original Scrapbox is underway.
So do you remember that not so very long ago I received my Original Scrapbox? The supreme organizing solution for Mod Podge Command Central? I got it assembled. That means it's time to do the hamster dance. Yay! If you don't know what I am talking about, I live in a small, one-bedroom apartment that is a crafting dump. I'm taking you along for the transition from crafting dump to completely usable space.
But before we move along too far, there's a little matter of the name of my Original Scrapbox. Drumroll . . . . .
Polly McStoresALot!
Thanks to Anonymous and kellyisascrapdiva for the help. Polly isn't big enough to need her own zip code, but she definitely needed a cool name. And now she's got one.

Decorate some fun spring votives.
I can't put my finger on it, but these votives from Lei at My Many Colored Days remind me of happy times in my life. It's very vague, but I can picture spring tealights in lanterns and walking down a path in the woods lined with them. Having lived in Seattle for many years and having met many interesting people, I'm sure it happened several times. The best part about these votive holders is the paper ribbon and the fact that Lei dug it out of her stash. Votives make me happy; using my stash makes me even more so. Visit Lei's great pictures of the project here.

Mod Podge switchplates.
I haven't posted switchplates in quite awhile, and I get asked about them all the time. Kathy from Pink Chalk Studio posted her fabric switchplates, and she outlines a pretty great process for making them. If you are a beginner looking for a project (AND you want to cute-ify your home) then this is your project. It's also a great stashbuster for paper or fabric. Check out additional Mod Podged switchplates here and here.

A pretty spring tree canvas.
Happy Earth Day! I know there are a lot of recycled Mod Podge projects out there, and I have them on this blog too - but this Earth Day I've got trees on the brain. I'm actually going to do this fun tree planting tomorrow in celebration. Also celebrating trees is my friend Lara from Less Cake More Frosting. She created this canvas with a very Dr. Suess-ian, polka dotted tree . . . a tree that I wish I could plant tomorrow because it's so ME. Instead I will plant a regular green tree, but that doesn't mean I can't make a canvas with the polka-dotted tree of my dreams just like this one. Take a peek at Lara's spring canvas tutorial.

Hey Podgers! I recently got the opportunity to give the Picaboo online photo book creator a whirl, so guess what - I did. I have been wanting to make a nice book of my project photography for a loooong time. You might be wondering why. Well, I think photo books are great for showing off pictures of family, dogs and vacations . . . but I also think they make great project portfolios if you are a crafter or artist. I could print out each photo and spend hours organizing, but with my schedule that isn't going to happen. I need something quick, easy, affordable and something that looks good.

Dimensional Magic belt buckles.
I can't stop with the Dimensional Magic - you know I made rings and then also a damask frame (among others). I love this stuff! So the other day I made some belt buckles with Dimensional Magic, and they turned out so great that I had to share. Let me tell you, it was totally touch-and-go there for a moment, using Dimensional Magic on such a large area. But it worked out. Here's how.

Yarn egg surprise.
I'm super excited because I'm going to meet Tiffany from Simply Modern Mom pretty soon - she lives in Atlanta area as I do, and I'm getting a little event together (btw, if you are an Atlanta blogger, e-mail me). Anyhoo, Tiffany came up with these great yarn eggs with surprises inside, just for Easter. They don't take long to make, and if you get on the stick you can have several in just a few hours. These eggs are so colorful, they would honestly be great for any party or birthday. Put $100 bills in mine, please. Visit Tiffany's yarn eggs here.

Recycled magazine page nesting bowls.
I recently made a ticket bowl with Mod Podge, and here's another bowl option from Sara of Creative Jewish Mom. Pretty much anything Sara crafts turns to awesome, and this is another great example. If you are doing any spring cleaning, save your magazines to make these - and the kids can get involved too. Don't you love the nice little picture surprise inside the bowl? Feel free to Mod Podge my face in there. Visit Sara's magazine nesting bowls for the complete instructions.

Easy button badge remakes.
Blogging star Cathe Holden from Just Something I Made (who I met at CHA this January) recognizes the importance of being a queen on her birthday - and expresses this fact by re-making some button badges into state fair ribbons. I love this look, and I love state fair ribbons as decor. I think they are the new doily, and you can use them for gifts or parties. Check out Cathe's button badge re-makes.

Kate's Paperie table makeover.
There is such a thing as designer paper - like the kind you would find at Kate's Paperie in Manhattan. Diane from In My Own Style (whose refurbished dresser I recently posted) used designer paper from KP to makeover a cute little wheelie table. She added a thrift store tray, and now it looks perfect, if I do say so myself. Plus I totally agree with Diane's assertion that things on wheels are great. Except for when they are on hardwoods, have no breaks and you are trying to get to it and it keeps wheeling away from you. Anyhoo, check out her before and after table makeover.

Just hatched Easter egg votive.
Easter is coming up quickly - are you ready? Here's a great craft for Easter that you can do with your children, guest posted by Christine. Enjoy.

Hello, Mod Podge Rocks readers! I'm Christine over at MBC Scrapbooking, your home for digital scrapbooking, paper crafts, fun printables, and tips on documenting your memories.

Create colorful Easter eggs.
I'm loving how Gabrielle from Design Mom spices up regular Easter eggs at Babble with some paper, punches and decoupage. It's so funny and awesome to me when a simple concept becomes so much more interesting with a small addition. You can also use up those paper scraps that are sitting around, and you know you need to get crafty with the kids this weekend anyway. Find the blog entry here.

Mod Podge metal wastebasket.
I get A LOT of questions asking if it's possible to Mod Podge on metal - first of all, the answer is yes. To elaborate, you can make cute projects with tin and decoupage just like the wastebasket from Jen, one of the fantastic bloggers at DIY Life. This particular wastebasket appeals to my Norwegian sensibilities with the modern Scandinavian feel of the paper. It's a super simple, and you can learn how to make one yourself right here.

Carnival ticket bowl with glitter.
I'm not the first person to do a ticket bowl. The thing is, I'm intrigued by them and I had to try one out for myself. Then I added a special little touch with FolkArt Extreme Glitter. My ticket bowl reminds me of Xanadu with the stars and the glitter - at least the Mod Podge version. But without Olivia Newton John. If you are a beginner this is a great project, so pay close attention to these simple instructions.

Make your own candy wrapper earrings.
I love candy. Ask anyone who works with me or is around me on even a semi-regular basis, and you'll understand that I adore sugar. I'm trying to be better because it's bad for me, but sometimes I just can't help it. So what do I do with those candy wrappers? Misty from Creative Itch has a great and budget friendly solution - candy wrapper earrings. Make ones for a friend featuring their favorite candy, and you can even go a little larger with wood disks if you want. See her blog entry here.

Simple fabric canvases.
I get a lot of requests for beginner projects, and these canvases by Melissa of 100 Billion Stars completely fit the bill. Does the one on the left look like a painting? And doesn't the one on the right look like a screenprint? Guess what. They are both canvases covered with fabric and Mod Podge. Booyah! Melissa brings up a good point - you could use one of the shimmer Mod Podges to bring out some fun gold tones. Read the blog entry here.

I'm scared to fly.
I typically do a giveaway on Sundays, but I'm not prepared so you'll have to forgive me until next week. My mind has been a little preoccupied. I have to get up at 4am tomorrow morning to head to the airport and do one of my least favorite things in the whole world. FLY.
I remember when I developed the fear - the exact trip. I was flying to Europe with a friend of mine in 1999 and he was scared to fly. He freaked me out the whole trip by talking about how scared he was and then asking questions like "Why is the stewardess going towards the door? It seems like something is wrong." For HOURS he did this. Once we got back to the U.S., we had *really* rough flights back across the country (I lived in Seattle at the time).
So I've been scared for almost 12 years now, and for a long time I could control it. On the last flight I took, I white-knuckled it and almost had a panic attack. I was fidgeting the entire time and was a nuisance to my neighbors. Sorry if you were sitting near me. The good news is that I have medicine for this flight and it's only two hours, so I should be okay. I'm heading to NYC for a work trip. I just have to focus on perhaps having time to buy cute shoes.
The thing that annoys me the most about the whole fear is that I know it's irrational. And I'm not a scared person - I'm typically very brave and will jump into things - but this is my Achilles Heel. So readers, send up a prayer for me. I need it. Thanks for your support!

Dimensional Magic washi tape pendants.
This Dimensional Magic video by Tiffany from IHeartArt is super cool - I love washi tape and have been trying to figure out how to use it with Mod Podge. Of course Tiffany would know.
Here's what Tiffany had to say about Dimensional Magic:
Uses: Jewelry Making, Paper Crafting, and Home Decor.
Things I love: It dries clear, doesn't sag of flatten out, keeps dimension, easy to control and to work with.
Things I don't like: I'm not certain if it is archival or acid-free. It doesn't say on the packaging.
All in all, I will definitely be reaching for my bottle of Dimensional Magic when I want to add clear dimension to my projects!
Thanks to Tiffany for a great review. Don't forget to visit her blog IHeartArt. There is always something creative to be inspired by.

Handmade doily egg stands.
If you are looking for a seriously cute Mod Podge project for Easter but aren't sure what to do, then you should certainly consider these doily egg stands from the ladies at Better Together. I like these because they are an Easter craft that's more subtle - perfect for those of you who don't love the bright pinks and greens. Who wouldn't love a mini-doily egg cup? I just want to pinch it's cheeks. Visit the tutorial here.

Dimensional Magic damask frame.
I'm crazy about Dimensional Magic lately, and I'm using on everything. So you're gonna have to bear with me; I hope I won't burn you out. But I just had to show you how it can be used on stuff other than jewelry. This Dimensional Magic frame is super easy (hello beginners!), and the kicker is that thee DM is on the wood accent piece in the center. You may have to enlarge the photo to see the detail, but the raised, epoxy looks really neat in real life. Who is that charming little one in the frame? You'll just have to guess. In the meantime, here are the project instructions.

DIY fabric Easter trays.
Susan from Living With Punks pointed me to these cutesie fabric Easter trays she blogged about over at Momtastic. When I first saw them I thought they looked like fun melamine - something you might pick up in the Spring section of my very favorite store, Target. Or Tar-jay if you are French. Anyway, I couldn't believe she made these for $1! All she had to purchase was the tray, and the rest she had in her stash. Aren't they amazing? Visit the tutorial here.

Mod Podge wallpaper stool.
You couldn't ask for a better surface to Mod Podge on, truly. This IKEA stool is flat and smooth with no tricky edges - so if you are a beginner, you might want to pay attention. It was originally purchased and Mod Podged by Tif of The Ramblings of Dottie Angel, and she used her wallpaper collection to do it. Which makes me realize that I need a wallpaper collection, pronto. Just some scraps would be nice. Then if I ever get a really smooth stool like this one, I can make one just as cute. Find the blog entry with this wallpaper stool here.
PS - When Tif bench Mondayed with this stool, I knew we were crafty soulmates.

Make a tray from a frame.
Kristen Powers is one of those people that I'm thrilled I met on the internet. She's uber talented and I wish I were just like her. Kristen used one of her digi-stamps, a frame and Mod Podge to make a tray for her jewelry and baubbles. I need one of these ASAP. I actually need baubble (ie., my personal crap) trays everywhere. Aren't these a great gift idea too? Visit Kristen's entry here, and then head to her Etsy shop to see her amazing stamps and more.

I've blogged about Mitzi's Collectibles several times, and now she's a sponsor here at Mod Podge Rocks! I wanted to give her a public thank you and tell you more about her. She's an antiques dealer and she has cute dogs (which I totally approve of). She likes funny vintage items (and shares them) and, of course, she's a great Mod Podger. Not only is Mitzi great at Podging, but she is one of the nicest people ever. Here are some of her awesome Mod Podge projects:
- Vintage hatbox makeover
- Wallpapered chairs
- Vintage bottles
- Anthropologie inspired mirror
- Wallpaper butterfly magnets

Milk & Honey Naturals review and giveaway.
Two things you should know about me. 1) I get a lot of requests to do product reviews and I'm very selective about them and 2) I love bath products. I mean, what girl doesn't? When Courtney from Milk and Honey Naturals e-mailed me to try her handmade natural soaps, I immediately visited her Etsy shop to make my decision. I'm adverse to strong smells and my skin is sensitive, so I wanted to know what I was getting into. Upon my visit I found that the products are handmade by a mother of twin boys (love supporting mom shops), everything is detergent free and the soap is CUTE. You know what cute soap is - it's not plain white bars. Sometimes the soap looks like the description, and it comes in fun shapes/colors. It's not a requirement for my soap, but hey, I'm a visual person - I like it when things aren't plain. I asked Courtney to send me some of her fantabulous soaps to try.
She sent me a sample of the following (from left to right): Vanilla Hazelnut, Magnolia Creme Brulee and Basil, Lime and Garden Greens. I tried them over the course of the past week and am happy to report that Courtney's products absolutely rock! It's hard to pick my favorite, but I think it's Vanilla Hazelnut. All three soaps smell delicious, they suds up very well and none of them are tearing up my skin. What I also love is that all three have a distinctive smell that is not overpowering. I'm completely sold. Did I also mention that her prices are just right?
Visit Milk and Honey Naturals to see what else Courtney has to offer besides the three "flavors" above. Besides individual soaps, she also carries soap for men, facial/shampoo soaps and then even extra sensitive. If you are inclined to try a sample before buying a full bar, she has those as well. And since Courtney loves you, she's giving away a prize pack with winner's choice of three soaps from her shop. Thanks Courtney!
Here are some other things to know for today's giveaway:
1. Comment on THIS blog entry. What would you like to try from Milk and Honey Naturals?
2. Only one entry per person. One winner will be chosen.
3. Contest will close this Wednesday, April 6th at midnight (EST).

Refurbish a dresser with Mod Podge.
I love typography, typefaces and anything to do with them. Diane from In My Own Style likes them too, which is why she selected this very special wrapping paper to refurbish her dresser. What really impresses me is the piecing job she did and then how awesome the finished product is. I'm also completely in love with how she finished those handles. Birdhouse in your soul pattern tissue nightlight.
I like two things A LOT about this pattern tissue nightlight guest posted by Jessica on CRAFT. First of all, I love decoupaging with pattern tissue (remember my large pattern gift box?). Secondly, I love the song that this saying comes from. Do you know it? I'll let you guess.
If you're new to decoupage/Mod Podge, this is a super easy project to start with. It looks more complicated than it is, which is great because I love simple projects with great results. Get the tutorial here.
