Never take yourself too seriously. And a giveaway.

Day two at CHA.  I danced like a fool at the Provo Craft party last night - but that's how I roll for a five-year celebration of the Cricut.  Who am I kidding, actually.  That's how I roll all the time.  I only wish that you had seen me do the running man in a dance circle, because then you might think that my philosophy is to make a fool of yourself in front of people you don't know.  My friends, I haven't even shared pictures from the trade show booths yet.  I've had too much fun hanging out with people!  Here are some more photos of my adventures.

IMG_3606
Not-so-early morning with Mark Montano.  Is it sad that we just woke up and are ready to go to bed again?  But seriously, you know how much I love Mark.

IMG_3663
Heather from Dollar Store Crafts looking simply smashing in the worst hat ever.

IMG_3662
Posing with Cheryl the Fiskateer as though I can really hula hoop, which I can't.  Wish I could.  Wish I could do a cartwheel too.

IMG_3666
Erica from P.S. I Made This.  She's so cute!  Visit her because she's having a giveaway of her favorite craft goodies.

I've got so much photo editing to do that you wouldn't believe it.  More photos and stories tomorrow and this week.  I want to tell you about everything that's new and what I saw.  In the meantime, someone needs to win a starter pack.

The big rule-ios for this week.
1. Comment on THIS blog entry. Say anything you like!
2. Only one entry per person.
3. Contest will close this Wednesday, February 2nd at midnight (EST).
4. PLEASE leave your e-mail address if it's not attached in Blogger - I need some way to reach you.

Full contest disclosure here.
Last week's winner of Mark Montano's Big Ass Book of Home Decor was Kim.

Conferences and trade shows are great. They take one totally away from everyday priorities and emergencies and let one's mind just think of the subject at hand.

Obviously creative people like yourself really party. I enjoy them too but the thrill is all in my mind. My mind parties all on its own in my head on the way home on the train. There are new ideas, reminders of old ideas, old ideas reworked.
We all need a conference or a show occasionally to keep in touch with like minded people and reoil our innovative juices.

Party on...

Ohhhh, a starter pack! I would so love to try out all of these, especially the glitter one!

I have been working on an idea that was inspired by one of your posts... I have this huge trunk, locker type trunk w brass hardware. Its not the prettiest thing inside, some sort of blue ink stain... but the outside is mint. My husband & I were talking about using up some of our old vintage road maps (from the 60's-70's) & covering the inside/out w them... then painting the hardware a shade of red.

Love your blog, I look forward to every email notification I receive, but often find myself impatient & clicking over to see any new posts, lol
