Mod Podged shoes.

I've never featured two bloggers in a post at the same time, but I'm feeling wild and crazy today. Crazy is a good adjective actually, because Mod Podged shoes prove to me that NOTHING is too crazy to Mod Podge. Except maybe a baby diaper. Or a plant. Or your pug (no, I haven't tried it).

As far as the projects, the first pair you see above is by Erika at Oops! I Craft My Pants - visit her entry here. The second pair is by Ashley at Make It and Love It - her tutorial is here. Now you know not to throw away those old shoes. Mod Podge them!

Thank you so much. You are THE best.

Also, my husband and I were joking about the Mod Podging a pug thing yesterday. I asked him if it would be okay to Mod Podge Oscar's ears. He said no.

  12. Those are adorable. I wonder if it will work on my old pair of fake leather shoes that are all scuffed up. They couldn't look any worse than they do now! What a great idea.

  16. Too cute!!! Thanks for the visit, much appreciated! I have so much Mod Podge under my nails I don't think I'll ever get it all out! LOL I've been using SO much Mod Podge lately~ from the cinnamon apples you saw, to caramel apples, to my bathroom cabinets makeover. Currently doing a kitchen makeover that includes using it once again on cabinets...but in a different way....a much longer process. Wish I had them done, at that point where I want to go one do something else!!LOL

  22. Hey everyone, thank you for the great comments! As far as holding up, I've never made them, but I can offer you some tips for Mod Podge durability in general.

Just don't wear them while wet and soggy outside, and hit them with a spray outdoor sealer. This should help you get a lot of wear!

xo to all, your comments keep me going!!
