It's difficult to express in words how much I love these lanterns. I would do an interpretive dance for you if I could. Or maybe I'll just send you to Emily at Not So Idle Hands, since it was she who made these. There are so many great things about them - inexpensive, kids can help, you can use them to light up your sidewalk for ToT'rs. . . . Brilliant. Visit her here to see this group, or here to see the original pumpkin group she did. You'll see Royal Coat pictured in her tutorial, but not to worry - RC is the cousin to Mod Podge (still made by Plaid), and Mod Podge works just fine.
Thank you Emily, for starting off the week of Halloween with such a cute project.

ReplyDeleteLOVE IT! I've been in search of a cheap way to light up my front porch for Halloween. This is great! I've got tons of jars for just this sort of thing. :D

ReplyDeletevery cute!
ReplyDeleteMy favorite part of the lanterns are the colors. I like how she didn't just stick to orange. It makes for a very pretty Halloween vignette.

ReplyDeleteI am speechless! These are absolutely the best idea for lighting walkways and dark porches!
ReplyDeleteLove this!!! What an easy amazing fun decoration!
ReplyDeleteThese are really cool lanterns. They are so easy to make and can be reused all the time - because that is what frustrates me with carving the pumpkin: I love carving it, but invariably I carve it too early and it is moulding away even before Halloween night... The thing I like best about Halloween? The pumpkin flesh that is left over from carving... because you can bake yummy pumpkin bread with it ;-). Happy Halloween everyone!
ReplyDeleteSo dang creative! I love it!!
